Would counseling be helpful for me?
If you’ve experienced any of the following, psychological therapy or counseling could be a good fit for you.
- You experience intense, fluctuating emotions that cycle between anxiety, anger, sadness, and shame, and these emotions persist for a long time.
- Your emotions feel overwhelming and lead you to act impulsively without considering the potential consequences of your actions.
- Your emotions negatively affect your quality of life and impact your relationships, including those with friends, family, romantic partners, or coworkers.
- You face frequent conflicts and instability in your relationships, resulting in feelings of abandonment, rejection, or loneliness.
- You have difficulty trusting others and fear that your loved ones might leave or abandon you.
- You struggle with constant self-criticism, low self-esteem, and feelings of inadequacy.
- You feel uncertain about your identity, values, and what you want out of life.
- You find it hard to use healthy coping strategies and often make poor decisions in an effort to manage your emotions.
Through counseling, your therapist will work with you to understand the root causes of these emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges, and teach you skills to help you cope better and improve your well-being.

What coping skills will I learn?
Many individuals have difficulty managing intense emotions because they either don’t have the right coping skills or struggle to apply them effectively during challenging times. Some people find it hard to handle difficult situations and may turn to unhelpful coping methods that offer temporary relief (like aggression, avoidance, substance use, or self-harm), but result in long-term negative effects. In counseling, we teach four main categories of skills designed to help you regain control of your life, including:
- Mindfulness: Techniques that improve focus on the present moment, reduce critical thoughts, foster self-compassion, and promote better clarity when making decisions.
- Distress Tolerance: Skills that help manage intense emotions and accept reality during difficult moments, allowing you to endure overwhelming situations by tolerating the distress instead of avoiding it.
- Emotion Regulation: Skills that enhance your ability to recognize and accept your emotions, reduce negative emotions (like anxiety, anger, or shame), and increase positive feelings.
- Interpersonal Effectiveness: Techniques that strengthen relationships, improve communication and interactions with others, and boost your ability to handle challenging social situations.
- Social Connection: The focus on social signaling skills aims to enhance social connectedness and build meaningful relationships.
Mental Health In Schools
Youth mental health issues, including self-harm and suicidal behavior, are on the rise. The current education and mental health systems follow a “waiting to fail” approach, where children must struggle or face difficulties before they can access formal support. We’ve created a solution that introduces mental wellness strategies in schools, focusing on educating the whole child—not just academically. This approach helps young people reach their full educational potential today, while also preparing them to be tomorrow’s leaders.
Why is Social Emotional Learning (SEL) crucial in schools?
The teenage years are a particularly vulnerable period as the brain is still developing, hormones are fluctuating, and self-identity is being shaped. On top of social pressures, rising performance expectations, and traumatic experiences, teens face a lot of challenges. The statistics surrounding youth depression, suicide, and behavioral issues highlight the need for support during this time.

Employee Wellness and Mental Health At Workplace
Empower your workforce to build environments where they can thrive. If you’re looking to reduce costs related to stress and burnout, improve morale, and boost performance and productivity, it’s time to rethink spending more on perks or self-care programs that only a few employees use or even know about. A more lasting investment is research-backed wellbeing leadership training for managers, helping them create environments where everyone in your organization can succeed and grow. Without investing in your people’s well-being, your organization will ultimately suffer.
Leading with wellbeing at work: It benefits both your people and your business.
